The locals’ belief circulating indicates that during his summer sojourns in the hills of Nagarkot the Rana Prime Minister’s eyes fell on a pretty hill belle. His intense love for this petite lady whom he named Bhangeri (diminutive) resulted in building a durbar (palace) for her. Perhaps, some remains of the durbar could still be found inside the now existing army barracks in the hills.
To reminiscence this love story we have hastened to name this property – The Bhangeri Durbar Resort.
