What started as Gyanodaya Bal Batika Pre-Primary School in 1975 today stands tall as a full-fledged Secondary School at Sanepa, Lalitpur, Nepal, that goes by the name: Gyanodaya Bal Batika School.
As the tiny toddlers grew up, so did the School with them. Under the dynamic supervision, untiring efforts, care and dedication of its Founder Principal, Mrs. Indira Yakthumba, it continually upgraded itself — into a Primary School in 1979, Lower Secondary School in 1984 before finally blossoming into a full-fledged Secondary School in 1986. The School produced its first SLC graduates in 1989.
Presently, it has a student population of over 1500 students. While initially it catered to the needs of both day and boarding students, with the ever growing student population it is today an exclusive day school. The residential needs are met by the Gyanodaya Residential School developed and built exclusively for boarding students.
