IHRICON has been fully accepted as an impartial human rights organization even though the Armed Conflict has now reached its climax. Both the Government and the central level of the Maoists Group have this view and they have seen that IHRICON have been specifically concentrating in the areas of women and children’s rights. Now that Nepal has entered into a transitional phase it is necessary for IHRICON to contribute to the work required for sustainable peace, reconciliation, and the reconstruction of the state.
So, IHRICON will focus the upcoming programmes for the promotion of sustainable peace and the reconciliation and reconstruction of the state through media monitoring, public hearings, peace education and the publication of a peace training manual.
