NHA was established in1999 to address the specific needs of Hydropower professionals in Nepal and support the development of hydro project in the country. NHA is a non profit, non government, multi disciplinary organization. NHA provides a platform for its members to exchange; and hereby enhance their knowledge about various aspects of hydropower. NHA exists to increase awareness of the role hydropower can play in sustainable development, as the most important source of renewal energy. NHA also aim to raise the profit of hydropower by collecting useful information, and disseminating to policy makers, politicians, professional, related express and the general public.
