We are a small Guest House with a limited number of rooms. Our pride is in the quiet locality we are situated in at the north-east corner of the hustling and bustling Thamel in Kathmandu. Despite of our size, we are proud of our cleanliness and the basic amenities we provide for the world travelers today.

Hailing down from Myagdi, a small trading town in the mid-western hills of Nepal; I ventured into Kathmandu Valley in the late eighties. Nepal being rich in natural beauty and its composition of rugged terrains had always been the ultimate destination for all the trekkers and the mountain expeditors around the globe as it opened to the tourists in the year 1950 A.D. Kathmandu Valley, a cluster of cities of temples, arts and mixed culture of Buddhist and Hindu civilization is the bridging cities between the tourists and the hidden treasures of Nepal.

About us is about me, a lone caretaker of the guest house who wakes up everyday to cater the needs of the guests that arrive everyday to behold the wilderness and the beauty of the Himalayas and clusters of smaller civilizations residing within them. My day begins with the preparation of breakfast for the guests, arrangement of transport for them to meet the mountain flight, the other destination points or the returning home guests; fixing guides and porters for the guests leaving for sightseeing or trekking. Answering the various questions asked by the guests enthralls me to quench the curiosity of the guests. For those with poor English, I try to speak with them in French, Japanese and my poor knowledge of Italian, German and Spanish. The whole day is for reading emails and answering phones; coincide with the incoming and outgoing guests; travel arrangements; luggage arrangements, advisory on sightseeing places and shopping. Evenings are non-different with advisory on drinking and eating places and amusement for the better health of the guests.

With the global development in tourism Nepal has also expanded in the various vistas of tourism which used to be limited to trekking and sightseeing of temples. Nepal, the ultimate destination for Trekking and Mountain Expeditions is now also the ultimate destination for the Himalayan Skydiving, Bungy Jumping, White Water River Rafting, Paragliding, Rock Climbing and Mountain Biking. Besides that Canyoning and Canoeing is also developing. Jungle Safari had always been popular as a tour to the southern plains of Terai. Bird Watching, Fishing and Boating in some lakes are also popular passtimes.

In the city, The Health Spas and Clubs are increasing. No wonder, Nepal is still the ultimate destination for Herbal Spas as the herbs are found in abundance in the Himalayas. Cultural Dance, Snookers, Casino, Dance Bars, Pubs/Irish Pubs, Restaurants with live music (Eastern Classical, Rock and Roll, Fusion, Indigenous Ethnic etc,), Massage Parlors and Art Galleries are some places the tourists are known to have cherished for pleasure. Kathmandu holds great places to eat as well. Nepali, Newari and Thakali are the indigenous cuisines of Nepal. Indian, Intercontinental, Mexican, Japanese, Korean, Italian and Chinese are popular restaurants found in the cities. .
