Kalu Arts & Handicraft” name adopted from Senior Master Artist (Sculptor) Mr. Kalu Kumale, Who is very famous out of the country as “Kalu artist”. Among the Tibetan “Thosowa” & among the local “Kalu Dai”. Show room of Kalu Arts & Handicrafts is situated in Patan, Sundhara between Okubahal to Thapahiti.

Factory is situated in Hattiban on the way to Godawari nearly 3 Km. from the Show room. KAH produced or manufactured many statues by 3″-15 ft. height. The working process was telecasted by TV5, Asia News channel, Kantipur TV. & Image Channel specially awarded to Senior Master Artist & company by H.H. The Dalai Lama. The Senior Master Artist, Mr. Kalu Kumale & Managing Director Mr. Birendra Kumar Awale got an opportunity to meet & talk to H.H. The Dalai Lama & Sakya Trizin Rinpzhe. Especially M.D. Mr. Birendra Kumar Awale met 17th Karmapa Rinpoche, Penjor Rinpoche & many other highest Rinpoches, His Majesty the King of Thailand in 1985, President of Bangladesh in 1978, Fuji Guru Jee of Japan in 1981 & Kripalu Jee Maharaj in 2003.
