NIMBUS Holdings Pvt. Ltd. formerly Nimbus Marketing was founded in the year 1998 as a partnership with an objective of import and export of various consumer products (foodstuffs). The original activities of the company consisted mostly of the import of consumer goods such as confectionary from India and distributed all over the country through retail and wholesale. During its initial phase the company was started with only few people. It gradually shifted its business to agribusiness sector. It started to import soyacake and maize from India and distributed all over Nepal.
Nimbus International Company P. Ltd was established in 2000. It mainly deals with trading of animal health and nutrition. It imports vitamins, vaccines and veterinary medicines from multinational companies like ELANCO USA, Adisseo FRANCE, Alltech USA, Merial FRANCE and used its rural distribution network to market these products all over the country. It also started a feed supplement manufacturing unit, focusing on exports to India, graduated to marketing feed supplements in the local markets by creating an effective rural distribution network. All these activities and experience led to the path of setting up, Probiotech Industries Pvt. Ltd in 2004, the first pellet feed mill in Nepal.
It is the first feed industry to receive ISO 9001: 2008 certification. Shakti is the largest selling animal feed brand in Nepal with 25% of the market share. It is the first brand to be certified Nepal Standard (NS-11) and NS Quality Award.
Within a short span of its establishment; the company has diversified its business into different sectors. It established National Polyplast Pvt. Ltd which manufactures poly woven fabrics. It also ventured in LPG business acquiring Sambriddhi Gas Udhyog and Nepal Gas. Beside production and distribution it is also involved in service sectors. It has its own company Green Invest Limited for investment banking and advisory. It has started Nine Nepal, the first organized car rental and leasing services in Nepal and travel agency named Avalon Travel & Tour to provide a complete travel services.
Today, combined, we are approx. NRs 6.00 Billion business with more than 600 employees, a sales team of 60 with 104 depots, 110 dealers, and 500 sub-dealers across the country. We reach out to 10000+ farmers in 65 districts of Nepal. Our employee base comprises of experts from the related industries, including veterinarians, JTAs, Engineers, MBA graduates, Chartered Accountants, Agricultural and Financial consultants.
